Question by Mel: How can I make it less painful for me to be the one on top during sex?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Any time that my husband and I have sex, I always wait to get on top until we've been having intercourse for atleast five minutes or so. Once I do get on top, I feel a slight ache in my stomach and an almost "pulling" sensation towards the front of my vagina that hurts. When I lean over it's much easier, but I'd really like to be able to sit up straight.

Any ideas?

From what you are describing it sounds like you may have a tipped uterus. This is the only thing that I know of that causes pain during certain sexual positions. You may have to give up on the woman on top position if it is causing you so much distress. There are a ton of other positions to try that won't cause problems for you. Otherwise, just get used to leaning over b/c there is nothing that can be done about a tipped uterus, it is normal in some women.
