Why is it so much harder for men to live without sex than women?

I'm doing the "wait 'till marriage" thing and it's driving insane so as of right now I'm sexually frustrated. But on the other hand, my girlfriend is just breezing through it like it's nothing...she say she wants me but she just want to wait which seems to be really easy for her. I want her too and I love her dearly, that's why I agreed to the waiting thing but why is it so much harder for me than her?
